Biography:

Herbert Kaplan has developed and conducted numerous training courses in the practical use of infrared sensing and imaging instruments. He is an SPIE Fellow (1990) and has authored numerous publications including the recently published text, "Practical Applications of Infrared Thermal Sensing and Imaging Equipment" (SPIE Tutorial Text Vol. TT34, Second Edition, 1999), the ASNT Thermal/Infrared Testing Level III Study Guide, and a chapter on IR Thermography for McGraw-Hill s new Electronic Failure Analysis Handbook. A practicing thermographer for more than 35 years, he is past chairman of the "ThermoSense" Working Group of SPIE and past chairman of the ThermoSense conference.
